Projects

Extending and Stabilizing a Legacy Data Management System

An internal tool for an automotive client, used by engineers to record and manage electronic components across vehicle builds. Over two years, I worked across the full stack: extending backend microservices, improving two micro-frontends, and refactoring the core legacy monolith to reduce duplication and improve maintainability. I also integrated a third-party service discovery server, resolving structural compatibility issues that had blocked reliable service discovery.

A live production system that couldn't pause for modernization. New features shipped and structural debt reduced in parallel, without a single disruption to the teams already depending on it.

Backend-for-Frontend for a Mobile Farm Management Platform

A farm management mobile application with a BFF layer aggregating data from around ten backend services for its clients. I designed and implemented the BFF, coordinated across backend, mobile, and product teams to unblock a stalled integration, and established consistent REST error-handling standards that aligned all three teams. Applied TDD to diagnose and fix critical defects along the way, improving test coverage in the process.

A delivery stalled because three teams were out of sync, each shipping to a different rhythm. One shared standard replaced three different interpretations of how errors should surface, and the integration moved again.

Parkopedia API Integration: From BFF Design to Cloud Deployment

A Backend-for-Frontend layer built independently, integrating and optimizing data from the Parkopedia parking API for frontend clients. I handled the full delivery: designed and built the BFF, implemented OAuth 2.0 authentication to secure API access between frontend and backend services, containerized the application and deployed it to the cloud, and extended the CI/CD pipeline with dependency vulnerability scanning.

The Parkopedia API wasn't shaped for frontend consumption. The BFF was designed to translate, aggregate, and optimize responses so clients received exactly what they needed, with auth and deployment handled as part of the same delivery.
